Transport Coordinator

Our client are a multi-award winning innovative company that provides bespoke and eco-friendly recycling services to commercial customers throughout Ireland

They are recruiting a Transport Coordinator to join their team based in their office in Armagh.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise and take booking requests from clients
• Manage and co-ordinate the scheduling of collections, vehicles and equipment in a timely manner
• Plan and co-ordinate efficient vehicle routes
• Arrange bookings (if required) into delivery sites
• Arrange skips/compactor collections as requested
• Co-ordinate maintenance schedules with for vehicles, trailers and truck mountes forklifts with the various service providers.
• Arrange for tyres, hosepipes and other items to be repaired/ replace as required
• Arrange transport paperwork pre-loading as required
• Report any material quality issues identified or reported by collecting drivers to the client/ account manager to rectify.
• Arrange for trackers and the drivers taco card uploader to be installed in new/replacement trucks

Criteria:

• Proven experience in transportation coordination or a related field
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using transportation management software and systems
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday 8-4pm/ 9-5pm
