Job Role: Production Manager in Dungannon

Our client is a Dungannon based manufacturing business, they are currentlyrecruiting a Production Manager is responsible to overseeing all manufacturingoperations within the facility, ensuring efficient production, high product quality, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

  • Plan, organise, and manage daily production operations to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Monitor production performance and implement improvements to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
  • Ensure effective use of labour, materials, and equipment across all production areas.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing processes.

Product Testing & Quality

  • Oversee product testing procedures to ensure all products meet required specifications and standards.
  • Work closely with the quality team to maintain and improve quality management systems.
  • Investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.

Health & Safety

  • Promote a strong health and safety culture across the manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and accidents, implementing preventative actions.
  • Ensure staff are properly trained and follow safe working procedures

People Management

  • Lead, manage, and develop production teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and identify training needs.
  • Promote employee engagement, teamwork, and accountability within the workforce.
  • Manage staffing levels, shift planning, and workforce allocation.
  • Address employee relations matters in line with company policies.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a production or manufacturing management role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning.
  • Experience managing quality systems and product testing procedures.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety legislation within manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
