Job Role: Manufacturing Systems Engineer in Cookstown

Our busy Engineering client in the Cookstown area require a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join a busy Production Control team within a growing manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving production control systems, processes, and procedures to maximise safety, quality, and delivery, while reducing manufacturing costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve production control systems.
• Ensure accuracy of BOMs, routings, and inventory data.
• Support ERP/MRP system performance and troubleshooting.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles
• Analyse production data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support material flow and PFEP activities.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve issues.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate engineering changes into production.
• Provide day-to-day technical and operational support to production teams.
• Develop and maintain standard processes and procedures.
• Support monthly inventory control activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related discipline, or a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, SIGMANEST, or similar.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel for tracking and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• A good understanding of manufacturing processes and data systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive, adaptable, and results-focused approach.
