Maintenance Technician

Our client are a leading Lurgan based manufacturing company who offer their employees a range of benefits including 33 Days annual leave and enhanced company pension and a lunchtime finish on Fridays.

They are currently recruiting a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is Monday – Friday dayshift with no requirement for evening/ nights or weekend work.

Reporting to the Production Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for –

• Ensuring that plant, machinery and equipment are maintained and repaired as required to ensure the effective operation of the Plant.
• Assist with breakdowns, process troubleshooting, quality issues
• Conduct equipment condition assessment and develop timeline plans to
  refurbish to base condition
• Implement permanent fixes when root causes are identified to prevent
  repeat failures
• Utilise breakdown elimination strategy to take advantage of findings from RCA
• Document engineering losses in the site data system
• Document engineering performance in the site data system
• Conduct Gap Analysis when performance targets are not met and develop plans to permanently close them
• Liaise with Production Planning to complete the scheduled maintenance program with minimal production disruption

Personal Specification

• Time-served ME&I tradesperson
• Mechanical and electrical experience
• Experience of operating within safe systems of work
• Excellent numerical skills
• Strong prioritisation skills coupled with flexibility
• Good communication and Interpersonal skills
• Computer literate with standard IT software (Excel & Word)
• Ability to understand and appreciate activities up-stream and down-stream from your area of responsibility
• Able to operate to a high level of efficiency against precise targets
