Our busy Engineering client in the Dungannon area require a Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
This role will require a highly skilled experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong Electrical and Mechanical background and is capable of undertaking various planned, reactive and proactive maintenance tasks supporting the overall function of machinery/equipment identifying faults and solutions alike. This is a fast paced production environment and the individual must be conversant with machine maintenance and repair.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and support tasks on high-speed automated equipment
- Maintain and support automated and conveying systems.
- Maintain and support production electronic/electrical systems.
- Working as part of a team and supporting production and operations.
- Implement solutions to help improve machine reliability and quality issues.
- Creating a maintenance plan for the organisation’s equipment
- Establishing maintenance policies and procedures
- Conducting frequent quality checks on equipment to ensure no maintenance is required
- Completing emergency maintenance when equipment breaks down
- Managing the budget for the maintenance of equipment
- Keeping a record of preventive and emergency maintenance carried out
- Ensuring the organisation complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes place
- Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
- Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
- Diagnose breakdown problems
- Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
- Liaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues
- Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
- Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
- Improve health and safety policies and procedures
- Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
- Any other duties, within reason & capability, as determined by management
Required Experience
- NVQ level 3 in either; electrical, mechanical or multiskilled maintenance or formal specific technical qualification
- A minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Working with and have an in-depth knowledge and experience of Electrical, Mechanical, pneumatics and program knowledge essential.
- Knowledge of CNC and PC controlled systems would be desirable
- Knowledge of PLC controlled systems and their energised components.
- Team working and flexibility with an open attitude
- Capable of effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management
- Able to work unsupervised and prioritise their own time and activities
- Have strong Electrical fault-finding skills supporting fast and effective problem solving
- Able to demonstrate a proven ability in trouble shooting and recovering equipment in a dynamic environment
- Experience in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
HOURS OF WORK:
- Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
- Friday: 07:30 – 13:30
