Our Client are a well-established building and civil engineering contractor executing work in both the private and public sectors. Due to an increase in contracts they have an opportunity  for a Health & Safety Administrator to join their team on a part time basis (flexible with hours)

Reporting to the H & S Consultant, you will ensure all relevant documentation and H & S policies are up to date

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Subcontractor & Supplier Assessments – Ensuring that potential subcontractors have adequate health, safety and environmental competence by way of attaining assessment questionnaires.
  • Sub- Contractor & Supplier database management
  • Ensuring that subcontractor risk assessments and method statements and training certificates are attained and forwarded to Site Supervisors for review prior to works commencing.
  • Management of company training database
  • Management of asset Statutory Inspection database
  • Management of H&S Stock such as PPE / Company Uniforms / FA Kits, etc.
  • Preparation of Site Safety Folders and documentation
  • Ensuring Sites have the required safety packs prior to commencement (First Aid Kits / Eye Wash Kits / Spill Kits)
  • Managing driving license database.
  • Managing occupational health database.
  • Aiding Quantity Surveyors with gaining information for Project Handover Files.
  • Support and provide information to site teams to ensure compliance with internal procedures.
  • Providing administration support for pre-qualification, tender and SHEQ award submissions.
  • Management of Company Waste Management database.
  • Assist with social value requirements.
  • Providing support to H&S Consultant re internal and external audits.
  • Aiding the company in moving towards ISO and 45001 Management Systems.

 

Person Specification:

  • A minimum of one year’s experience working with a Construction company
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualified
  • Fully IT literate
