Our client are an engineering company operating within the agricultural sector. With an established customer base throughout Ireland and a reputation for quality and innovation they are strengthening their market position by recruiting a Field Sales Executive to cover N. Ireland and border counties.

Reporting to the MD, the successful candidate will be a results-driven Sales Executive with excellent interpersonal skills who will be able to actively seek out and engage customer prospects with a view to growing sales  in the Northern Ireland area.

Responsibilities

  • Present, promote and sell the  range of products/services through direct engagement with existing and prospective customers.
  • Optimise the customer experience  to meet the needs and help plan any future agri-engineering development with our farming client base.
  • Work closely with our farming customer base, the Sales Executive will establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling and follow up on leads and other sales referrals.
  • Expedite the resolution of any subsequent customer problems and complaints to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Project manage contracts to boost top-line revenue growth, customer retention levels and profitability.
  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Maintain and report on sales funnel through regular meetings and feedback to the MD.
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyse and report on sales territory, including assessment of the market’s potential, track sales and status reports.
  • Supply the MD with reports on customer needs, problems, interests and potential future opportunities, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices, Dept of Agriculture specifications and promotional trends and grants in the target sales market.
  • Continuous improvement in the sales effort through feedback and engagement with the MD.
  • Submit sales forecast with continuous updates.

 

Requirements and skills

  • Proven Field Sales experience with a strong interest in agriculture / farming
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to create and deliver solutions tailored to the farming community needs.
  • Relationship management and solutions-driven skills to deliver exceptional products and services to our farming client base.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Agri Engineering or a related field would be a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent working knowledge of CAD, MS Office, especially Excel and Word, would also be an advantage.
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Adopt a solution-driven focus in the sales engagement with customers.
  • Be extremely passionate about customer service.
  • Be extremely knowledgeable about the ODEL product range.
  • Identify prospective customers, lead generation and ensure that there is a high quote/sales order conversion rate.
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs, thereby leading to creation of a positive order backlog/confirmed orders.
  • Emphasise the unique and positive features of the products to highlight how they solve customer problems and create added value for our farming client base.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to questions about the clients products.

 

Remuneration

An exceptional package will be available to the successful candidate, comprising a generous fixed base salary together with target-driven sales commission and a company vehicle.
