Our client, a provider of products to the hospitality industry, have a requirement for a Junior Buyer / Category Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will have experience of working within the FMCG or Manufacturing sector in a procurement role.

Key Duties:

  • Assist with delivering profitable growth in Sales and Margin.
  • Contribute to, execute and co-ordinate plans around the buying activities involved in purchasing of products in assigned categories.
  • Manage new product introduction process and data collection.
  • Product selection for marketing & catalogue processes and ensure products within specific categories achieve maximum exposure to sales and customers.
  • Liaising with suppliers and Category Manager to minimize and manage product price increases.

Person Specification:

  • Proficiency in ERP systems
  • Self-disciplined, self-motivated, demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal direction, and good analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate prioritization, planning, and follow-up skills in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to manage relationships at all levels in the organization.
