Quantity Surveyor

Our Client is a leading construction company with offices in Tyrone and Belfast, Due to an increase in projects, they require an Intermediate / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team

Their portfolio includes projects in the commercial, education, health, heritage, industrial, residential, social housing, and sport & leisure sectors.

Duties:

At award of each new contract, liaise with the Estimator to obtain the following :

• The priced BOQ
• Tender drawings, specification, and contract data on which the tender submission was based
• The tender quotations file
• The list of clarifications received during the tender pricing period
• On receipt of the ‘Construction Drawings and Specification’, undertake a comparison between the tendered intent and the ‘Construction Issue’ information
• Prepare a ‘Project Cash Flow’ in conjunction with the project programme provided by the Contracts Manager
• Prepare a ‘Project Budget’ for reporting the financial performance of each new contract
• Seek approval of the budget from the Contracts Director/ Accounts Department
• Carry-out monthly assessment and provide update to the Contracts Director/ Accounts Department
• Agree programme dates with the Contracts Manager
• Consult with the Contracts Manager before appointments are confirmed
• In conjunction with the Site Manager, undertake an assessment of the works carried out ahead of the agreed Valuation Date
• Receive Sub-contractor payment applications and email a copy of each to the Accounts Department
• Assess the payment and resolve any queries raised
• As and when required, provide assistance in tendering for new contracts

Person Specification:

• A 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a relevant estimating/surveying/construction qualification
• Minimum of 3 years QS experience
