Our busy  client in the Dungannon area are seeking to recruit an experienced part time  HR Manager.

Flexible Working hours available: 2-3 days per week

This is a new role reporting to the Director of the company and the successful candidate will work as a key member of the Senior Management team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Professional to assist our client in achieving and developing an effective HR model for the business to become more functional and successful.  You will work within a rapidly growing company, offering the flexibility of Part time working hours for the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Analyze the organizations current HR programs and suggest solutions to existing problems.
  • Implementation of all company policies & procedures; supporting our current workforce; absence management; grievance/investigation & disciplinary process and administer to employees.
  • Creating and delivering both training and development plans to the management team on human resources plans and processes
  • Meet with management to understand their requirements
  • Train Managers how to get the best out of their staff, evaluate their performance and maintain employee relations.
  • Evaluate the situation periodically and adjust when needed, including developing, reviewing, and applying HR policies and procedures where necessary.
  • Ensure that HR agendas are aligned with employment law issues
  • Recruit staff, which involves developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, short listing, interviewing, and selecting candidates
  • Make sure that prospective staff have the right to work in the organization

Essential criteria

  • At least 2-3 years experience in HR
  • The ideal candidate will have prior experience in HR, with a thorough understanding of HR policy and procedures.
  • A degree in HR or equivalent
  • Interpret and advise on employment law
  • Good communication and personal skills.

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of the Construction Industry
  • An understanding of TUPE law
  • An understanding of Apprenticeship policies and procedures
