A fantastic opportunity has become available with our successful manufacturing client who require an experienced Bid Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the tender process to ensure the on-time submission of high quality, successful tender bids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing all commercial and technical submissions, ensuring completion of draft outlines and responses to the agreed timelines.
  • Liaise with and manage internal and external contributors, ensuring timely issue of questions to be answered and responses received back.
  • Complete reviews and revisions of contributions in conjunction with Business Development Director.
  • Create tender submission content were required.
  • Planning, creating and completing tender submission compilations and supporting documents.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports detailing consolidated tendering activity.
  • Oversee marketing activities undertaken by the Marketing and Bid Co-ordinator to ensure that they are completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Ensuring final delivery of tender & marketing activities in accordance with required timescales.
  • Carry out post-proposal reviews & analysis to enable future improvements.
  • Provide line management to the Tender and Marketing team, including setting KPIs and objectives and identifying development needs.

Person Specification:

  • 3-5 years bid writing/management experience.
  • Knowledge of the tendering procurement processes in either the public and/or private sectors.
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience of working on a broad range of contracts.
  • Experience of tender preparation and submission.
